Younger parents sometimes have real trouble focusing outwards rather than inwards. Younger parents also seem to tend to lean heavily upon other family members for help with their kid(s) whereas older parents are more likely to have to be self-sufficient because their parents are often too old to be able to offer much help. I wouldn’t go so far as to say “better,” but I do think that ‘aging’ parents tend to be a bit more mature and able to focus more on the kid(s).
